The Chapelle 1441 Rouge 2024 by Trapet Alsace is an elegant Alsatian Pinot Noir, bringing together the earthy character of Riquewihr with a refined Burgundian sensibility.
Medium ruby in color, with bright transparency. The nose opens with crunchy red and dark berries, followed by peppery spice, stony mineral notes, and a subtle touch of forest floor. On the palate, it is juicy, fresh, and savory, with lively limestone-driven acidity and a fine but firm tannic structure. Energetic and understated, it balances rustic charm with sophistication and an easy drinkability.
A natural partner for terrine de campagne, charcuterie and rillettes with crusty country bread, or crispy râpés de pomme de terre with grated cheese. The Demeter-certified Pinot Noir comes from vineyards around Riquewihr, including parcels planted on the limestone soils of the Grand Cru Froehn.
