Weingut Dautel, led by Christian Dautel, is a biodynamic estate in Württemberg known for expressive Spätburgunder, and pioneering chardonnay production in the region. In 1985 the estates founder Ernst Dautel, pulled his vineyards  out of a cooperative due to the potential he saw within his own vines. Around the same time he began aging his wines in french oak, and focused on blends rather than the typical single vineyard wines of the region.

Dautel’s Spätburgunder is a standout, Burgundy-inspired Pinot Noir. Known for its delicate red fruit such as bing cherry, raspberries, and subtle earthy and floral notes. Medium bodied with bright acidity.
